In our lives, there are many Seasons…some good, some not so
good…but, if we are fortunate, these Seasons are surrounded
by family, friends, love…and tea!
Join our journey…through the "Seasons of Tea."

The Tea Ceremony has long cherished affection
and joy towards nature, respecting each season's
characteristics and senses.

There is no season such delight can bring,
As summer, autumn, winter, and the spring.
William Browne
(c.1591–c.1645)
Farm House
I heard Sound of spinning wheel
Mixed with sound of flowing water
Sight of wooden bridge,
flowerless trees in hazy spring
Where from the aroma the breeze brought so close?
Oh, next neighbor is baking afternoon tea!
Gao Chi (Ming
Dynasty)
Translated by Martin Tai (1998)

''Spring Tea Cup''
Oh the daffodil so quaint to say,
Her leafs fold out as that in May.
Amongst waves of wind she moves in grace,
Of that in spring she takes her place.
So fragile the time she has to stay,
Soon the season will come to fade.
Her fragrance simple in dawn air,
Yet while she breathes she spreads a cheer.
A delicate cup formed at her sight,
Ah the teatime of such delight.
Oh daffodil your yellow glow spreads,
Forming life in a garden bed.
Wild and free your soft whisper so fair,
Quaint to say, your beauty is clear.
